The Crashes are a New School Rock & Roll trio based in Athens, Greece. Kicking it off in late 2018, they already had a handful of explosive gigs and an EP under their belt by the end of the year. Mixing classic blues & rock principles with modern elements of bands like Placebo, BRMC and Royal Blood, the outcome sounds familiar but fresh at the same time. Their strong work ethic and unique approach helped The Crashes gain serious traction in the local scene, which was their ticket to successful festival & club performances all around Greece, as well as a support slot to Kovacs. The stage was perfectly set for their debut album, “Comedown”, released digitally in September 2019. A dark and atmospheric ride through the band’s thoughts, experiences, and desires, “Comedown” was followed shortly thereafter by a music video for the record’s title track. As an aftermath to the album, The Crashes released an acoustic EP, “Origins”, featuring stripped-down versions of 4 tracks, complemented by two black & white videos. Consisting of Jessy (vocals/guitars), Anastasis (bass), and Panos (drums), The Crashes are fueled by life’s passions, relationships, and the turbulent times we live in, with an end goal to create loud and unconventional music. The band is currently in the studio recording their next work, to be released in the summer of 2021.
