Some describe Qim Isle as ‘experimental’ while some do so as ‘alternative’. They are both right. Qim Isle has always been at the frontline of expanding musical boundaries while embodying the grammar of specific genres of music more than anyone. With his own form of expression through jazz, funk, to hip-hop, Qim Isle debuted in 2007, and released his first studio album [Boylife In 12”] in 2014. Qim Isle won in Korean Hip-hop Awards with his collaborative EP [Elbow] with Samuel Seo and has been covered in various media such as OnStage and more. He has worked with artists such as sokodomo, Hyuna, Verbal Jint, Sultan of the Disco, Simo&Moodschula, E Sens, SUMIN, Jung Jae-hyung, Woo, across genres and boundaries of music. Qim Isle is considered to be the artist of the artists, and who artists want to collaborate with the most in South Korea.
