UK DJ and producer Joe Hawes originates from the quiet coastal town of Torquay, but there is certainly nothing quiet about Joe’s talents and skills. Having taken his first steps towards a music career at the age of 10 after picking up his very first set of drumsticks, Joe went on to play in Rock and Indie bands before finally discovering his love for dance music, Future House in particular. Now, Joe is the embodiment of everything that is great about the Future House genre. His dance music career started from humble beginnings where he began to teach himself how to DJ and playing in clubs from the age of 17. His dedication knew no bounds as he regularly played sets until 3am and turned up to college the very next day, proving his resilience. Joe has gone on to DJ at iconic venues and largescale festivals such as Amnesia Ibiza and Wakestock Festival, supporting the likes of Calvin Harris and Deadmau5 along with regularly causing havoc in clubs all around the student scene in Exeter. You will also find Joe paying homage to his rock and indie roots in his music and DJ sets to this day. Joe also began to produce music roughly 5 years ago and has incorporated his skill for percussion in every one of his tracks, showing his deep knowledge for creating rhythms and making people move.
