Dr Who Dat? is the mysterious alter-ego of rapper / producer Jneiro Jarel (also of JJ DOOM, Shape Of Broad Minds, and willie isz. Marking his debut is the solo effort Beat Journey; his Braziliana-infused, instrumental musical journey through upbeat south American jazz-sampling tunes, into murky, darker hip hop. Follow up appearances include supergroup Shape Of Broad Minds 2007 release Craft of the Lost Art, MF DOOM'S GAZZILLION EAR - DR WHO DAT? REMIX, left-field/ futuristic Jneiro Jarel projects, Beyond 2morrow and Android Love Mayhem, released in 2010, as well as the spaced out instrumental 2 My Fellow Aliens, appearing on Lost Pieces, Vol.1. With Dr. Who Dat? in the driver’s seat, the music is propelled by low-end rhythms with amoeba-like structures, becoming increasingly intergalactic, changing shape and genre without warning, suggesting that it’s several galaxies to the left of where we currently reside.
