Christian Biegai is a member of the vibrant music scene in Berlin, one of many classically trained composers blending multiple genres and utilizing new instrumentation in their work. Christian Biegai creates music that spans genres from electronic composition to prepared piano, from chamber music to orchestral scores. His composition "Quartett" was recorded and performed by the clair-obscur saxophone quartet, and was featured on WNYC’s New Sounds, as part of a focus on the new Berlin composition scene. His film scores include music for feature films, documentaries, TV series and animated movies. As a saxophonist, Christian has performed with groups as diverse as the Berliner Philharmoniker, New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, Antony and the Johnsons, Edison Woods, The Babylon Orchestra, Robot DM Stith and Barbara Morgenstern among others.
