Australian live-looping cellist, multi-instrumentalist and songstress Xavia creates dreamy electronic-folk, blending swirling strings, earthy rhythms and soaring melodies drawing you into a vivid song journey. Her single Horizons, inspired by her desert home in central Australia, invites listeners to ‘breathe in’ the vast landscape. “Horizons was written while climbing desert mountains, drinking in the colour with thoughts ascending, heart exploding”. XAVIA is originally from Adelaide, formally one half of sibling duo BrotherSister (triple j unearthed winners), and has lived and toured in Australia, Nashville, and Europe as a cellist and session musician. She is now based in Mparntwe/Alice Springs, performing across Australia at the Darwin Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Darwin Fringe, Festival of Voices and Wide Open Space Festival with the likes of Kardajala Kirridalla, Haiku Hands, Hiatus Kaiyote, Dami Im, Holy Holy and Electric Fields. contact: xaviainfo@gmail.com
