Nicholas Paul Roache (born November 12th, 1996), and known professionally as nic violets, is an American artist, songwriter, designer, creative director, and entrepreneur. As a prominent figure in the Boston music scene, violets is widely known for his melodic, genre-bending sound. His artistic inception occurred at a young age after attending a music production class in middle school. 
 With a passionate, ever-growing catalog, violets displays comfort in vulnerability. While drawing inspiration from an endless stream of talent and creating sounds fueled by emotion, violets helps to blur the lines of modern music and continues to push the envelope in terms of what he is sonically capable of. Collaborating with the likes of Lizzy McAlpine, JELEEL!, Brevin Kim, ericdoa, and many more has highlighted his shapeshifting ability which has earned long-lasting seats on numerous Spotify editorial playlists. 
 In today’s climate, the Boston native is as involved with the industry as ever. While engineering, mixing, and mastering his own music, he has also stepped in as Creative Director for popular underground culture hub: ripe—tanjerines. That, alongside working on graphic design elements for artists and companies, contributing to the journalistic side of music with bylines in Grooverelly, maintaining and recruiting new members for the DEADLOCK RIOT collective, as well as tirelessly designing new platforms leaves the 26-year-old with his hands tied; but the progression never slows.
