Biography

Forged from just the right amounts of street grit, sharp intellect, an unwavering sense of justice, and contagiously uplifting energy - Denver rapper, Kool Keezy, is a much needed voice for the voiceless. His raw, gangsta infused sound delivers hard hitting punchlines often driven by his passion for black empowerment and his ever growing knowledge base of history and current events. Kool Keezy's cerebral, amplifying effect on listeners is nicely complimented by his versatility in more soulful, harmonious love and life experience inspired lyrics and sounds. October 1, 1983 in East Denver, Colorado, he was brought into the world as Kirk Bledsoe Jr. As a child in elementary school, his fire of inspiration was lit by non other than his own older sister as he heard her rapping. In the 4th grade, Kirk began mastering his craft. Growing up, he became known as Kool Keezy and was influenced by the sounds of Michael Jackson, 2pac, Biggie, Big L, Wu Tang, Nas, Mac Dre, Messy Marv, and Nipsey Hussle. By age 20, he caught the attention of the highly sought after, local producer, Mo Heat. The seasoned producer encouraged Kool Keezy to further his talents in the studio, where he would soon flourish. As a solo artist, Kool Keezy released his mixtape Bear Arms, issued singles "Chop n Spray" and "Gutta, Gurl".
