Kulture made his name in the dubstep years, releasing music on Skream's label Disfigured Dubz and various other vinyl releases around the time. He played on BBC1 with Mary Anne Hobbs and has performed as a DJ around Europe, including the famous DMZ (Digital Mystikz) nights at Mass, alongside Mala and Loefah.
