Gaya is a singer/songwriter & multi-disciplinary storyteller based between Mumbai & Dubai. Born in Chennai, raised in Dubai, she was recently awarded a Golden Visa for her contribution to the arts & culture in the region. 
As an artist, Gaya is considered a pioneer in the Middle East and has recorded and released 4 highly-acclaimed albums, including RollingStone ME’s highest-rated unsigned album from the region - The Unknown - the making of which was crowdfunded and raised over $23,000 in 10 days on indiegogo from her growing community of listeners. 
She has collaborated with Grammy-winning artist Joss Stone as well as opened for Florence & the Machine at F1 and has performed across all of the UAE’s best known venues such as Dubai Opera House, Dubai Expo, Music Hall, Sikka Art Fair, Dubai Music Week, as well as several international tours in the US, UK, Europe & India where she’s played iconic venues like Joe’s Pub (New York Public Library), Troubadour & BlueFrog Mumbai.
