Inspired by the bass heavy aesthetic and rhythmic components of Techno, the directness of Minimal Wave and Post Punk’s multifarious approach, Kalli Ma sounds like an incendiary short circuit between Simian Mobile Disco, Not Waving and Factory Floor. Operating from their own studio in London, they incorporate elements of the past whilst keeping a careful eye on what lies ahead, bending genre boundaries. Having released their first single ‘Promises’ earlier in 2017, they now are set to build upon it with their upcoming release, currently under wraps and set to be unleashed very soon.
