From tango dancer to singer. Elena lived and performed across the globe. Since she took singing in 2014 she released two studio albums: “Entre Tangos” recorded and produced by Elian Sellanes in 2018, and “Pio Pio Pio” South American Folk Music for children in English and Spanish with Michel Bestrin in 2020. In 2019 in Argentina she recorded with Fabian Nesprias at “Estudio de los Pajaros”. In 2021 Recorded “Oro y plata” with Paulo Gutierrez, Elian Sellanes and Chris Maunders. A recent highlight in Elena's discography is her rendition of the iconic "Balada para un loco," originally composed by Astor Piazzolla and Horacio Ferrer. Recorded and produced by Elian Sellanes. This is a new particular version with translations made into English, recorded in 2023. Elena was born in Argentina and after living in Portugal, Ireland and Germany she is now based in Naarm-Melbourne where she leads the band “Tango Mood” South American Afro Roots. Elena garnered a wealth of cultural and artistic influences that inform her multifaceted practice, that’s why she sings in Spanish, Portuguese and English. Recently formed a musical duo with Ezequiel Balseca where they reinterpret bossa novas, tangos and boleros, a true joy between tradition and improvisation.
