French based electronic duo created in 2021 by Mimush & Ama, partners in life and music, La Matrice combines various influences around house music with a musical signature made of indie fusions and groovy vocals. A never-ending love story with new wave, swinging from jazz to trance, flirting with acid, funk, trip hop and more. Mimush is a creative DJ and producer from the south of France. Amalia is an eclectic singer, songwriter and composer based in Paris. In 2019, they start creating their own music studio and producing together. After 2 years of releases under the name of « Mimush & Ama », they decide to become « La Matrice » to hilight their new musical perspective, in a common desire to break the codes and produce in a freer way. Driven by the same passion for the 90s sounding and the border vibes, they start a new chapter in 2023 with the creation of D.ssoci8 Records, an open-minded music label and event planner eager to reveal unconventional artists, far away from mainstream tendencies. Summer 2023, they also launch their Live Vocal project 100% made of own productions.
