DEHAZE (moniker of Sjors de Haas) is a 20-year-old singer-songwriter from The Netherlands. Creating a safe space with music made from painful experiences in his past, DEHAZE is shedding a light on insecurities about one’s identity. The road to self esteem and self-acceptance can sometimes be a lonely and terrifying one. However, through music DEHAZE finds a way to express his feelings and he lets the listener participate in his journey in a compelling way. The vulnerable and sensitive songs of DEHAZE ultimately also convey the message of perspective and hope. Together with producer/songwriter Wouter Hardy (amongst others producer/songwriter of 'Arcade' by Duncan Laurence), DEHAZE recorded his debut EP “tell the world”, which was released on May 3rd, 2024. While recording the EP the two went all in. From recording a choir and church organ in a church in Steenderen to recording strings at concert hall De Toonzaal in 's-Hertogenbosch. DEHAZE will be attending the POPRONDE 2024.
