Phantoms Take Flight is the artist name of Stuart Thain Hamblin who writes and produces all tracks at his recording base in South Wales. His initial collection was issued in 2022 on the album entitled Staring At Time, being a 16 track mix of songs, instrumentals and voice over music. The musicians involved in performing these tracks are: JoelAlcock(England), Michelle Foster(US), Celia Bond(Wales) and Carter Vayne(Canada). The 2023 single 'LA Summer's Day (1968)' is an anti-war song, using the Vietnam war as the lyrical vehicle to highlight the fact that we're locked in a never ending cycle of conflict. In 2024 the single ‘Kiss of the Vampire Woman’ was released in two versions; a radio edit alongside the longer original. This project was a collaboration with Claude Etienne based in Paris. The year also saw the three version release of the Christmas song entitled ‘Exile On Christmas Street’, which deals with the plight of the homeless at a time of mass over consumption. The group of people you see in the 1950's black and white photograph had not long come out of World War 2. They are staring at you through the lens of time.
