Biography

Henry J. Huisjes (1963) is a pianist, Hammond organist, choir director, arranger, and composer from the Netherlands. He started playing at an early age. He then studied at the ArtEZ University of the Arts in Enschede where he was taught by Peter Rijs (Hammond organ), Hans van der Werf (piano), and Theo Willemze (music theory and arranging).
His musical style is known for the combination of classical and light music (jazz, gospel, pop), which makes his style authentic and recognizable. Concert tours with choirs have already taken him to many countries in Europe and his arrangements are used worldwide and performed by many choirs and orchestras. He also contributed to several CD, radio, and TV recordings.
