Biography

Mike Delinquent is a staple name in UK dance music history. Having fore-fathered the Bassline movement in 2002, Mike has continued since to be innovative throughout his career. His remix and production catalogue include artists such as Usher, Missy Elliott, J-Lo, Fifth Harmony, Lady Leshurr, Wretch 32, Ms Dynamite, Donae’o, and many more. In early 2011, Annie Mac described the MDP as the man who “single handedly brought Garage back” referencing his successful remixes surfacing on a national scale, notably Wretch 32’s “Traktor” which acted somewhat as a catalyst for the Garage resurgence. Mike has since re-structured the conventional DJ set by introducing live guitar to his performance, and has created a reputation for it. He has reworked the Nightcrawlers' classic "Push The Feeling On" with Big Narstie. The track is currently on 25 million plus streams and had become one of the most streamed Garage songs in history. Mike followed this up with his own release on his own imprint Zeus Sound Records: The World Of Garage & Bass, charting impressively at No19 in the official Dance Album Charts, independently. The MDP has since enjoyed performing in recent years at venues/festivals such as Outlook, Boomtown, Fabric, and has been popular in Southern Spain where his productions have been pioneered for over 10 years. He continues to be one of the most sought after producers in the industry in 2022, producing for the incredible House Gospel Choir. A big year awaits!
