Biography

Oladimeji Adebamigbe—born 1 November 1995—known professionally as Meji, is a Nigerian rapper and songwriter; the self-titled ‘Humble Son, Cocky Bastard.’ He found passion in writing music at the age of 16. At 22, he had concluded his tertiary education, returning to Lagos to take up music professionally. He is affiliated with the popular Nigerian rapper, MI Abaga, who has strong faith in him and anchored his career as a musician. His first major entry into the Nigerian rap scene was a diss track “100 Clowns” directed at Blaqbonez, who was then signed to 100 Crowns, a label under Chocolate City. He followed this up with the release of “Overkill”, the emo rap song which has gained him even more recognition. The single peaked at number 58 on Apple Music’s Alternative Charts, made it to 4 playlists on Apple Music, 3 on Audiomack and 2 on Boomplay. Currently, Meji is an independent artiste, but is a member of the fast growing music community—WeTalkSound. While he dabbles majorly in music, his creativity is nearly untouchable, as it appears in different forms like Graphic design, Video Editing, Motion Graphics amongst a few other Some of his fans refer to him as a “Creative Bully.”
