Since releasing his first song in 2018, musician and illustrator Sugs (pronounced “sh-ugs”) has made his way up and through the internet’s underground scene with a flurry of cartoonish lyricism and a sharp tongue. Although he appears to not take himself quite as seriously as his peers, his eccentric sound suggests otherwise. While some of his earlier records channel a more traditional noise, the Asian-American artist has since dipped his toes into a blend of styles, such as Punk, Techno, Dance, and Drum and Bass. Although versatile in sound, his erratic flow and track presence have been the linking factors that keep audiences coming back for more with each release.
