Biography

Sharon starts singing professionally at the age of 17 as backing vocals but soon turns to the front lines and begins a lead singer career in several bands, reaching over two hundred live performances a year. In the 90’s she faced the dance scene, this brought her to team up with a lot of DJs and producers resulting in a vast discography over the coming years. Many tracks of the early 90's Eurodance productions have her voice but not her name. She gained worldwide hits in 2005 and 2006 (with Alex Gaudino) : Destination Calabria and Little Love, in 2008 she joined the famous band FPI Project, to become their official singer. DESTINATION UNKNOWN & DESTINATION CALABRIA In 2003, Sharon came together with Alex Gaudino and Maurizio Nari: amongst other songs, Destination Unknown was born. Sharon wrote the lyrics, worked on the top-line, and ultimately recorded the song. Later it was agreed to get Crystal Waters' vocals on top of Sharon's to give the track a major view, thanks to her former hit "Gypsy Woman (ladadee da da)". It was released as Alex Gaudino feat. Crystal Waters, without crediting Sharon's voice. She is credited only as a songwriter. A couple of years later, the track underwent a remake, with famous sax by Rune's Calabria, Destination Calabria was born and released in 2006 on Rise Records and in 2007 on Data Records. In 2007 DESTINATION CALABRIA was awarded as most vinyl copies sold! https://www.youtube.com/c/SharonMayLinn
