Kasumu is a hip-hop artist and producer from Norwich, UK. Predominantly creating chill hip-hop sounds infused with jazz, soul and lo-fi elements, Kasumu experiments with a wide variety of genres whilst telling his story through his music. Topics such as mental illness, drug abuse and spirituality are often referenced within Kasumu's work, in an attempt to break the taboo and increase awareness around the struggles of young people growing up in the UK. Kasumu performed on the BBC Introducing stage at Wild Paths festival in October 2021 supported by fellow rapper Chal. Following his latest release 'Fear and Loathing in East Anglia', Kasumu is expecting to take part in more live shows this year to showcase his new release.
