Biography

Renowned for her unique expression and artistic depth, Ketevan Sepashvili is hailed as a rising star in the realm of piano music. The European press has lauded her as a “new star in the heaven of pianists” Zürcher Oberländer, celebrating her virtuosity and exquisite interpretations Süddeutsche Zeitung. Ketevan Sepashvili began her piano studies at the Paliashvili School for musically gifted children at the age of five. She continued her studies at the Tbilisi Conservatory with Svetlana Korsantia. Inspired by renowned pianists like Hans-Jürg Strub, Victor Derevianko, Emanuel Krasovsky, Sontraud Speidel, Pnina Salzman, Nikolai Petrov, and Alexander Korsantia. She was recognized as the best Georgian musician at the 2nd International Piano Competition in Tbilisi in 2001. Sepashvili has performed at prominent European piano festivals and received acclaim for her debut at the Vienna Musikverein in 2017. Despite pandemic challenges, she continued to excel and collaborated with musicians like Dimitri Ashkenazy, Veriko Tchumburidze, and the Trio Revolution. Serving as a jury member and conducting masterclasses at prestigious competitions. Sepashvili's albums, including "Faust," "Fantasiebilder," "Undine," and "Poetry of Silence," were praised for nuanced performances and evoking deep emotions. In 2023, she released two more CDs titled "Arvo Pärt" and "Moments.". Sepashvili performs on a Fazioli concert grand piano.
