Norwegian art-pop / alternative / jazz project PYSJ consists of Solveig Sørbø (comp), Torgeir Koppang, Saleh Mahfoud, Leila Matta and Michaela Antalová, as well as other friends. In the first singles you hear the talents of Stig Frogner, Andreas Rødland Haga, Jose Martinez Perez, and others, all produced by Solveig. PYSJ loves the simplicity of yellow and a complexity of musical influences. We feed on pulse and flow and textured sounds that feel like a stream-of-consciousness as much as the minimal and appealingly repetitive. Earlier this year PYSJ's songs Gnos Mo and Om Song were remixed by some of Oslo's most sought-after rave and electronic producers, and Gnos Mo is also featured in the Mexican film "Conversaciones". PYSJ's song "Boogie with Your Bonnie" is featured in the Danish series "Pleaser" available at the national broadcast DR3. In December PYSJ dropped two eclectic tracks fusing synths, microtonal instruments and progressive percussion: Sun + Skyman and on New Year's Eve Ishq's resyntheses followed: Sun + Skyman (Resyntheses). This coproduction has sparked a collaboration with Ishq, which hopefully will bare more fruit soon. The album Sun + Skyman contains several remixes Mastermind Solveig Sørbø also recently scored the docufilm "Hans pluss Liv" which premiered on the 3rd of December 2020 and the film score was released in spring 2021.
