Biography

Fatemeh Va'ezi (March 16, 1950, Tonekabon, Iran), better known as Parisa, is a Persian classical singer, Avaz master, and one of the foremost female vocalists from Iran. Parisa inherited a good voice from her father and grandfather, and during her studies, encouraged by her father, she participated in art programs until she won the first place among all students in the field of singing in school art competitions. Parisa's musical talent and genius was discovered by Mahmoud Karimi, who was a member of the jury at that time, and after that she started learning traditional Iranian music (instruments and lines) under his supervision, and after that, in the presence of Master Davami. He became familiar with the style of performing old ballads and traditional singing, and participated in three Shiraz art festivals, and the fame of his art became widespread. After the Islamic revolution and the restriction of the activities of female artists, her performing activities were stopped and she only continued to teach music. After fifteen years of silence, Parisa returned to the stage in 1995 with a performance in London and released the album "Baz Amadam". Since then, he has always performed concerts in various festivals and has continued until now.
