British guitarist Jason Carter has performed in over 100 countries and recorded 18 albums. With a passion for intercultural dialogue, Jason has worked alongside the British Council, British and US Embassies, the Finnish Arts Council and UNESCO in places such as North Korea, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, China, Pakistan, Estonia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Mozambique. Jason has been playing classical guitar since the age of 9 and in 2007 began playing the Harp Guitar, a multi stringed guitar of which he will receive a 23-string version in February 2024. Jason has always had a passion for film and photography and in 2016 he directed and produced the feature length documentary ‘Grain of Sand’, a film about the music and heritage of the Bahraini Pearl Divers. Grain of Sand enjoyed its world premiere at the Dubai International Film Festival in 2017 and went on to receive awards and critical acclaim including a screening for UNESCO World Stories in 2018.
