Founded by Rebecca Raimondi, Michele Marco Rossi and Alessandro Viale, the Rest Ensemble is a flexible ensemble dedicated to a wide repertoire, from baroque to contemporary music, approached with a deeply philological and scrupulous musical attitude. Together with a varied and diversified concert activity, being proposed in venues all over Europe, the Rest Ensemble has regular recording activity, directed towards monographs and insights on 20th century rediscovered authors. The ensemble has recently recorded the music of the English composer Robin Holloway, for the Sheva Contemporary label, which has been positively reviewed by Gramophone, BBC Music Magazine, Financial Times and many others.
