Tecka, a Rennes-born rapper and producer, relocated to Southern France at 13. His musical journey began in middle school with a sequencer, leading to a rap-focused career. In 2007, he founded Maigritude in Toulouse, a collective including Uri, Njeazy, Timuxx, Nathy Green, DF le Mr Chill, Mr Han"s, Noiszstar, among others, fostering a friendly and learning environment. He began producing in the 2010s under the pseudonym akcet. Over the years, he expressed his thirst for versatility and independence by gradually becoming the main composer for the tracks in which he raps. He has also produced for other artists such as Nathy Green, Dhjaz, JERKA, Prox, AYZE, Bibo, Johnstone, Mr Han"s… Notably, he opened for IAM, DJ Premier, and Busta Flex with I2C, and recorded and/or mixed artists who would later gain recognition like Laylow (2008-2012) and others (Mister V, Mac Amish, LMA, Bùshy…). His 2021 EP Qui ? with Nathy Green, produced by DJ Ritmin (Katrina Squad), reflects his artistic growth. Tecka's collaborations with talents like Melan, L9XO, Billy Bats, Riot Pata Negra, Prox, underscore his commitment to diversity. His debut album, Du ciel au sol et inversement (2016), produced notably by Valentin Pi and Toneprods is a poetic introspection and a significant artistic statement. He is also proud to have been featured on Da Krew’s albums since 2020. Since 2021, Tecka has maintained a steady release of one track per month, concurrently working on an album with Njeazy.
