Mariko is a world-renowned standing cellist (acoustic/electric) with virtuoso technique and unique perspective. Between being both the first Japanese solo musician ever to be seen on Cirque de Soleil's stage (Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour, Zumanity ) and performing with Award winning rock/pop artists (Madonna, STARSET), Mariko has captured the world’s attention. As a protégé of Japan's top studio musicians group, Mariko has achieved an extensive career as a recording artist for many artists/the film/the commercials. Her versatility has been demonstrated on many stages/TV shows, performing not only cello but violin. Mariko also produces her own projects, composing and performing original works of music.
