JYJWLZ is a music producer, songwriter and artist from Queens NY. Having both parents as musicians he learned music from an early age. They held recitals where he played the piano, which led him to perform in talent shows from grade school well into high school. In 2007, he learned about GarageBand arranging loops together to form a beat. This eventually influenced the addictive excitement of creating his own melodies. He used this new found craft to create beats for himself and his friends’ skating videos, which extended into songwriting for his beats during his time in college. JYJWLZ soon moved onto Logic Pro X to better hone his creative process. He began performing at open mics. He got involved in iStandard showcases, taking home valuable feedback on his productions. Through iStandard JYJWLZ was given the opportunity to meet and work closely with !llmind the Producer as his videographer intern in Brooklyn. Through his work as an intern, JYJWLZ quietly learned new tips and tricks from the now Multi Platinum, Grammy Winning producer to allow his own unique sound to thrive. JYJWLZ won two competitive Beat battles created by AtlasthePlug in 2018 where he won a chance to collab with Meek Mill’s producer Nick Paps. JYJWLZ continues to grow his community around music by meeting and collaborating with artists and creatives. JYJWLZ has performed at SOB’s, The Korean Day Festival, The Iguana and is always looking for that next opportunity to showcase his ever evolving talent.
