Jon Gilman, aka Racket Club, has been about rhythm since childhood, growing up a drummer in Jazz, Symphonic, and Rock bands. His style now includes a wide range of House Music, with a love for bouncy bass lines underneath infectious vocal hooks. As a 15-year DJ, Racket Club has played around the world including Splash House Music Festival, Groove Cruise, Sound and Academy in Hollywood, Audio San Francisco, House of Blues and The Boat Cruise Summer Series in Boston, Lost Beach Club in Ecuador, Slate New York, and the beaches of Thailand. He'll play everything from Funk and Disco, to energetic Tech and Peak Hour House Music – his ability to read a crowd, curate a vibe, and deliver on the dance floor is unmatched. Racket Club has also made a name for himself on the production side, with several works going viral including his edit of Beyoncé’s “Crazy In Love” that’s nearing 60K streams and has been featured on BBC Radio 1. Plus remixes of Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" and Journey's "Don't Stop Believin". He’s released tracks on Hood Politics, Top Shelf Disco, Quincy Boy Records and several more due out this year. In addition to being an artist, Racket Club is a founder of the Pizza & Techno event series, a co-founder of the music blog My Music Is Better Than Yours, A&R at two record labels, managed half a dozen artists, and is now building his artist development agency. This LA-based musician is one to watch – his sole purpose is to make booties shake!
