The unquestionable growth of Dallas, Texas artist Richard B. Gary II is evident is his expression of personal experiences and insights in his lyrics. Under the alias "Reeze" , the unsigned independent artist released his debut body of work November 18, 2016 - “Square One”. Square One featured only Dallas artists and the natural lyrical talent Reeze. Demonstrating his versatility with songs such as "Leopard Print" and "Pour It" The influence his daily struggles have on his music show his the singles "Sweet Baby Ray’s", "Knew Dat", and "Run It Up". These experiences allowed the artist to use this medium to express his frustrations and celebrations with his growing fan base Reeze released his second body of work April 19, 2019 titled “Night Shift”. Utilizing his connection to college campuses for a North Texas tour which featured schools such as UT Dallas, Baylor, and Texas Christian University. He capped the end of this tour with a concert in Dallas that left fans excited about the project. His follow up to Night Shift, dubbed Night Shift 2 demonstrates his maturity as an artist. The selection of samples and choice in lyricism diverges from the dark and cut-throat tone of Night Shift, and expresses of the current state of the rapper's life as he enters post-graduation life.
