Born in the cool parish of Manchester Jamaica, Jayjo began her musical journey at the tender age of four (4) where she was an active participant in school and church events. Her journey continued through to high school and University, where became dynamically involved in choirs, school bands and entertainment productions. During her tenure as a teacher at Jamaica College she became the coordinator and staff advisor to the school’s student production groups and assisted them in winning several national trophies and awards. Most popularly known through her association with reggae revivalist Kabaka Pyramid, Jayjo is a support vocalist for the renowned artist and has been a part of his band since its inception, touring world-wide. After completing her Masters of Science Degree in Information Systems Management, she went on to create her own musical company “Tuning Fork JA” that has gained country wide recognition for its impact and transformation of graduation performances.
