Biography

Jonathan Lee Pratt, professionally known as JZyNO, is Liberia's biggest and only global artist, with the biggest global song ('Butta My Bread') from Liberia and one of the biggest Afrobeats songs in 2023 worldwide. JZyNO launched his professional career in 2019, inspired by Kendrick Lamar through a dream he had in 2013. In 2020, he gained fame in Liberia and became the first new artist to receive five nominations for his song 'Kpan Kpan Me,' which featured his former label mate Teddyride. Shortly after releasing the hit single, JZyNO was dropped by his label A.E.M.G, motivating him to thrive as an independent artist, a journey that was difficult but he preserved. He released his debut EP, The Brown Sugar EP, and collaborated with artists like Krymi, Nedy Music, Epixode, and a few others in 2021 and 2022, despite facing delays and struggles as an independent artist. In early April 2023, JZyNO released his hit single 'Butta My Bread', featuring Lasmid, which accumulated over 180 million streams across all platforms in just one year. The song became a chart-topper, entering the US Billboard Top 50 Afrobeats songs and UK Top 20 chart. JZyNO teamed up with Kenya’s number one Afrobeats artist, Willy Paul for a feature on ‘Kuu-Kuu,’ Grammy nominee MattB World for a feature on 'Need Some Wine Remix' and later collaborated with Elisha K, Cameroon's trending artist, on 'Since 97,' as he prepared for his second EP 'Liberian Boy.'
