Hailing from the South West of England, Jonny Morgan is an Indie Singer/Songwriter with an unashamed passion for ambient and, emotive soundscapes - drawing inspiration from artists such as Gregory Alan Isakov, Ray LaMontagne and Hiss Golden Messenger. Having journeyed across North America in 2022, Jonny returned back to London in early 2023 where he would start to record a debut album with his trusty friend, and conveniently (Grammy-nominated engineer) Jonas Westling (Gabrielle Aplin , Newton Faulkner) Following a turbulent year of personal hardship and tough life lessons. Jonny felt that vulnerability and honesty should be an important theme of his upcoming songs. In order to achieve this authenticity, Jonny and his team of musicians decided to put a limit on the number of takes and overdubs when tracking. Since finishing the record, Jonny has been touring these new tunes up and down the country. In some of his most notable shows, he shared the stage with Ariel Posen and David Ramirez. Friday the 17th of November saw the release of Jonny’s debut “Good Luck With the Music”. A title originally inspired by a series of patronising goodbye messages sent to him during this tumultuous year. Jonny took these negative statements and pivoted the meaning to pay homage to current day artists who are struggling to keep pursuing their art in a world where it’s constantly becoming increasingly difficult. @jonnymorganmusic
