On “GLINTSAL”, rapper/singer Glints and producer/DJ FAISAL AKA music's Beavis and Butt-head join forces for an album that brings out the best in both. Together the two friends with British and Moroccan backgrounds respectively have been presenting Abattoir Anvers, the only hip- hop show on Belgian national radio (Studio Brussel), for about 4 years now. There they already received guests like 50Cent, Loyle Carner, Pregnant Guy, Faberyayo and Sef, as well as a lot of young talented artists. Both are members of the eponymous Antwerp collective Abattoir Anvers (which also includes Yong Yello, among others) that was founded in a former halal slaughterhouse where they both lived, worked and made radio. Back in 2020, the duo released the single "Some Time Alone" together, which made it clear for them that their musical collaboration should be explored further. The whole album was written and composed together, FAISAL handled the production while Glints wrote the bars and vocals. Chopped soul & 80s samples are mixed with with heavy-hitting drums, synth-angeldust and humorous soundbites. The result is an original indie hip-hop sound that you must hear. The album is fun, in the moment, coherent yet very diverse, but above all catchy as hell. Every single will be released with a manga-inspired cover artwork. Furthermore, the album will be accompanied with a vinyl which will also be in full anime style.
