Crook$ has been Djing and Producing Hip Hop and DNB since the late 90’s. Performing in his home town in Christchurch where he started to perfect his skills, Crook$ managed to get residencies at local night clubs such as Hybrid, Bass, Rock pool , Winnie Bagoes, Coyotes, Azzure and has also performed at local festivals throughout the years. He has well established his name and music in the local scene. Supporting international DNB heavy weights such as DCBREAKS, LOADSTAR, BENSLEY, RENE LAVICE, DBRIDGE, CALIBRE, LYNX and many local acts. Spending some time overseas, he played in various clubs in LA, Singapore, Bali and closer to home in Australia, before deciding to head back to NZ in mid 2000s. Still loving his roots of Hip Hop and DnB, he cant help but throw in some dirty old school Hip Hop in his sets and also recently supported the RAM records Tour. He also got the privilege to open for the funk master himself Opiuo during his Syzygy tour. Currently Crook$ lives in Wellington NZ, and is a resident DJ in some of the best bars and clubs in the city and is recognised as one of the most well rounded DJ’s in the game. When listening to his music you won’t be able to resist a head bob and when watching his epic energetic sets, definitely will be getting those feet moving too.
