Edgar Allen Floe (born Daryl Sams) is an award-winning artist, producer, engineer and visionary within North Carolina's hip-hop history. He is best known as a member of the Justus League, a 15 member hip-hop collective that has generated superior artists such as 9th Wonder, Khrysis, and Little Brother. Floe has collaborated with groundbreaking hip-hop artists such as Rapsody, Skyzoo, Nottz, Royce Da 5'9", Termanology, and Jean Grae. Floe's early ambition was to become a DJ rather than an Emcee. But hearing his uncle playing records by the likes of Rakim and Ice Cube led Floe writing his first lyrics at the age of 14. Mal Demolish, Floe's partner in the group The Undefined, gave him the "Edgar Allen Floe" moniker back in high school. He explains, "Edgar Allan Poe was a well-respected writer and creative. I'm incorporating the same qualities into my own art." In addition to his lyrical ability, Floe also functions as a producer and engineer under the alias Slicemysta. He had also functioned in Artist Development for 9th Wonder's Jamla record label -- which has spawned novel artists such as Rapsody. Today, Floe is releasing new material under his own label, Balance Coalition Music Group, LLC. His vision is to continuously improve the image of what Hip Hop is -- all while keeping the artistry in the forefront. Official site: eafloe.com Business Inquiries: info@eafloe.com
