Sergio Chierici is an Italian composer and musician. He graduated from the Conservatory in piano, organ and composition, he also has a degree in literature with a dissertation on the history of music, with highest honors. He studied with internationally renowned faculty in many aspects of the theory and practice of music. He was awarded in international competitions in piano and composition. His compositions are regularly performed in concert and are published and distributed all over the world. Concert player in Italy and abroad, choir & orchestral director, teaches music, music technology, literature. Collaborates in the creation of the Italian national card for historical organs and musical instruments (ICCD, Rome), and he is active in the protection of cultural heritage. He is the author of books, essays and articles on history-music. University gave him the academic title of “Expert of the subjects Organology music and Conservation musical instruments.” He also play portative organs; on this instrument performs studies for years, partly merged into the website www.portativo.it. His "multipotential" style in composition, performance, organological, musicological and technical research cover different genres, from ancient music to experimental electronics: therefore, his main productions are collected in classical music (Classic, Avantgarde) and not classical (Ambient, Alternative).
