Feather and Dot is an Electronic duo from Los Angeles/Joshua Tree CA made up of producers Sanjay Parekh and Hargo Khalsa. In 2013 Sanjay and Hargo were touring in a four piece rock band across the country. Two years, a trip to Burning Man, and a rock hybrid album later... the duo jettisoned the band and found new sonic territory leading to their groundbreaking 2016 release Electronic Mantra. The album calls on their shared roots in downtempo electronica, 60s psychedelic music and East Indian mystical sounds. The duo approached each track the old school way, sampling and recording themselves, featuring a host of female guest singers, even a '70s sample of Kundalini Yoga pioneer Yogi Bhajan chanting a hypnotic mantra for the album's anthemic closer "Guru Ram Das". While Electronic Mantra was exploding in the rapidly growing Yoga/Dance scene, Feather and Dot were also taking over dance floors, making waves on the festival circuit with epic DJ sets at iconic gatherings Burning Man, Lightning in a Bottle, Shaktifest/Bhaktifest, Summer Solstice Sadhana, and Oregon Eclipse. In late 2017 Sanjay and Hargo went back into the studio diving into remixes for well known European labels, and a 2018 full-length album follow up.
