Calfani Black is a Compton raised songwriter, producer, and artist. With early influences such as Boys II Men, Jay-Z, Rakim, and Juvenile to name a few, there is no wonder he has found a comfort in an array of styles making him the diverse artist he is. With a musical background starting with drunlines, marching bands, concert band, and studying Creative Writing at the University of Nevada Reno, Calfani Black creates a smoothe vocal delivery with soulful and heartfelt tone, paired with wordplay and metaphor driven lyrical content. Now a more mature self, once dawning the moniker Joe Beast, Calfani Black gives a more rounded perspective of life including family, love, streets, fun, politics and more.
