Experimenting with raw sounds and music since 2002, Simio Albino aka Gustavo Cortes, is a DJ and producer born and raised in Mexico City and based in NYC. Believer of the fact that music and sounds are tools to reshape the mind and that improve life experience and spirituality if organized with the right intention. Simio’s musical approach tries to follow the primal intuition that blossoms whenever a sound of interest is heard, as opposed to follow a formula or a genre oriented sound. For the Simio Albino, the dance-floor is way more than hands in the air and Instagram moments, but a place to be in touch with yourself and transcend time; this is somehow imprinted in his music.
