While recording in Broward county FL, DaGreat developed relationships with the engineer there, Stephen Caputo (Universal, MMG, Octo Gato), Gunplay (MMG), and producer vinny changos (XXXTENTACION, Kid Trunks). Mathias started to take music serious ever since. After making a little noise locally, Mathias moved back to his hometown of Denver, Colorado around 2020 and has since applied the influence of his experiences in Florida and his past in 5 points Denver to make music that’s real, relatable, and completely self produced and engineered. After a few singles (including the single “Two Tone” featuring Gunplay) and some good online reviews, Mathias released the mixtape “Eastside Uzumaki” in 2022 and its sequel “Eastside Uzumaki 2” later that same year along with a few captivating visuals and singles like “Hocus Pocus” featuring Memphis artist SHE WHO WONT BE NAMED. Two amazing and nostalgic hip hop albums with a proper blend of dark/ back alley/ underground raps and heavy hitting club bangers. In early 2023 Mathias DaGreat released “Love Lost Theory” a Eastside love story album. Full of catchy hooks, sexually charged metaphors, and “hood” R n B vibes, this latest project was overlooked and restricted due to the explicit nature of its cover art.
