Combining the precision and flexibility of a chamber orchestra with successful performances of symphonic works, the Sinfonietta Cracovia is particularly appreciated for its performances of contemporary music. It has been involved in numerous productions promoting new music and the works of Polish composers. It is especially famous for its interpretations of works by Krzysztof Penderecki, with whom it has had an important artistic bond from the very beginning. It has been intensively engaged in concert tours, also abroad – performing in such countries as China, the Netherlands, Finland, Germany, Czechia, and Austria. In recent years the Orchestra took part in many recording projects (including audio recordings of classic and popular repertoire) and studio recordings for film productions as well.
