Biography

Born Samuel Carter II, Bud Green is a self-producing hip-hop artist that grew up and currently resides in deep East Texas. Although Green’s passion for music started in Texas, it wasn’t until his time in the Seattle, Washington area that he really got a feel and true understanding of music production, and also being his own engineer. Thus, between late 2016 and early 2017, Bud Green released his first completed works as a series of singles. During this period, Green also continued working on collaborations with producers from various genres like future garage, wave, downtempo, and dubstep; and also created a collective of electronic producers and rappers/artists, naming the effort ‘11Leaf Music.’ Shortly after Bud Green’s debut show in Seattle in March of 2017, his life took a turn and caused him to move from the Pacific Northwest, back to Texas where he and his very close friend and music associate, Austin McKae, planned out and executed a hip hop festival that was held in Deep Ellum of Dallas, Texas, consisting of 10+ acts. Almost immediately after Green’s small victory with the festival, he began a hiatus that continued through to the beginning of 2018. Being back where he grew up after moving away for the better part of two years, Green took time away from music to re-evaluate his problematic situations (that forced his cross-country move) and get back on his feet. Now Bud Green is currently back in the mix of things and is continually working on new material.
