Haley Osier is an independent pop singer-songwriter from Nashville with a story to tell. Her music reveals the pain and pining of queer love, loss, and betrayal from a post-evangelical perspective. With influences like Sara Bareilles, Reneé Rapp, and Holly Humberstone, Haley explores the depth of her grief with warm, emotive vocals over a cinematic pop soundscape. She’s the moody lesbian the indie music scene has been missing. Her new album “A Letting Go,” chronicles the too-familiar journey of missing someone who hurt you and reckoning with the hurt, accepting the feelings you felt (and maybe still feel) for that person, knowing the conversation you’re having about it will always be one-sided. There will be no closure. They will never reply. This album is Haley having that one-sided conversation in front of us, letting us in as she’s letting go and hoping she’s not as alone as she feels doing it. Producer, collaborator, and frequent co-writer Chase Coy describes Haley as “a talented artist who is chronicling her deconstruction journey through an incredible collection of songs. She not only talks about her experiences leaving religion, but also sapphic love, deep loss, and the weight and trauma of betrayal; not only does she navigate these topics deftly, but she also manages to make it all so damn catchy and digestible.”
