Uncle Jimbo is an electronic musician, composer and visual artist from the Netherlands who creates evolving, ambient and richly melodic dance tracks and captivating visual art. His goal is to push the boundaries of emotive electronic music with syncopated drums and breathing progressions.

Born James Stewart on October 8, 1999 in East London, South Africa, he became a student at the Herman Brood Academy (Utrecht, the Netherlands) in 2020 to study music production. Here he has crafted his own path in terms of style and genre that he will continue to develop over the course of his career.

His most recent work is his maxi single named ‘Eventide’. A project based the concept of him often only being able to make music at night and being in his own bubble exploring sound. 
 James also has large and growing interest for synthesizers which he likes to incorporate in his compositions. He hopes one day to create an album that consists solely out of modular synth patches.
