Tendryl’s music flirts with mechanized nausea and erratic jubilation. Using both analog and digital ephemera as raw materials, he builds a mutilated collage of resampled synths, sub-bass, and restless percussion. Music blog AQNB writes "information overload and the fragility of power [are] explored through a hectic assemblage of club, noise, trap and myriad samples." The NYC-based artist released his debut EP with Air Max 97’s DECISIONS in November 2018. The EP focuses on "Stone’s interest in critical theory and ecology to the depths of exploitation and survival in a post-truth moment.” He has since expanded his practice through DJing, film scoring, and producing sound installations for raves and corporate clients. In 2020 he self-released a collaborative ambient-techno album, Sun Cycle, and put out a breakcore single on the label formforum. He also played live hardware and DJ sets with multiple virtual raves, such as Club Cringe and Hurt Free Network. His sophomore solo EP releases in January 2021. His music has received airtime with outlets including Fact Magazine, Rinse, and NTS and he's performed on lineups alongside Laura Les, Machine Girl, Rabit, Gatekeeper, Swan Meat, 99 Jakes, Jessie Osborne Lanthier, Pelada, Dasychira, Qualiatik, Prison Religion, and House of Kenzo.
