Romilio Orellana is an acclaimed and renowned Chilean classical guitarist, considered one of the most important musicians in Latin America today. His musicality, technique and inspired artistry have earned him the highest praise from the public and critics alike. He has performed in the most distinguished theaters in around 40 countries throughout Europe, Asia, Oceania, North and South America, premiering several works worldwide, many of which have been specially dedicated to him. Particularly noteworthy is his successful presentation in London at the world premiere of Liederkoncert, composed by Angelo Gilardino, which he performed together with the guitarist Sante Tursi and the English Chamber Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall. Additionally, he has chaired the jury of prestigious music competitions and festivals, such as the International Guitar Competition “Miguel Llobet” (Spain) and the International Music Competition “Dr. Luis Sigall” (Chile).
