Strike Me Down Zeus is a project band that originally formed in Battle Creek, Michigan. The lineup for SMDZ started as five but narrowed it's way down to a core group of four: Kevin Slaughter (Guitar), Malachi Deal (Drums), Matthew Haywood (Bass), and Isaac Gothberg (Vocals) . Taking heavy influence from the punk rock scene, Strike Me Down Zeus has no hesitation when it comes to writing music they are passionate about no matter the genre. Some of the main characteristics of their sound come from their Midwest origins and homegrown/DIY production.
