Thabiso Clifford Popela, commonly known as TorQue MuziQ, is a South African producer and DJ specialising in Afro Tech/House. He was born on October 9 at Ga Sekororo in Tzaneen, Limpopo and raised in Vosloorus, east of Johannesburg, Gauteng He started producing music in 2006 using a software called Fruityloops. Later, he was introduced to decks, and was taught how to create better sound as well as djing. His released his debut album in 2017, titled Bae Crush alongside well-known vocalist Boohle. The project marked his introduction to the Afro House/Tech Deep house market. He has since introduced a mixtape series titled Afro Freaky Friday, which is highly anticipated by those who follow the Afro Tech/House genres. He has a monthly EP titled King of Rotation which has seen him work with the likes of DJ Fresh SA, THEMBA, Sir Trill, Basetsana, Nkosazana , Cheeze Beezy, SUPTA, Tee Jay, Boohle, Starr_Idoll, Cincity, Aymos, Mobi Dixon, Nkosazana Daughter , Jim MasterShine, Josi Chave, Kamza Heavypoint, Afro Brotherz, KreativeNative, Drummetiq Boyz, KingDonna, Dj Msoja SA, Thabza Berry, Afro Exotiq and many many more.
